Ikat fabric is a dyeing technique used to create a distinct style of textile patterns. Ikat is done by resist dyeing sections of the yarns prior to weaving the fabric. In ikat the resist is formed by binding individual yarns or bundles of yarns with a tight wrapping applied in the desired pattern.   Pochampally, Ikat & Patola, essentially refer to the same technique of weaving, which is a cross-over between printing and weaving. Here, the design motifs are first printed, or resist-dyed, onto the warp or the weft threads, or both, and then diligently woven into a fabric or saree.   Pochampally sari or Pochampalli ikat is a saree made in Bhoodan Pochampally, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Telangana State, India. They have traditional geometric patterns in "Paagadu Bandhu" (Ikat) style of dyeing. The intricate geometric designs find their way into sarees and dress materials.  You can find Ikat fabric used to create everything from clothing to accessories. Another use of Ikat patterns is in furniture and pillow design. Even bedding, pillowcases, and bed sheets can feature Ikat patterns. It's used widely, and it's loved wherever it's used.   Handloom Ikkat is very popular among the women of India and is considered a bridge between vintage and modern styling.  As Ikat fabric is extremely breathable and comfortable for all seasons, so go ahead and design these stunning Ikat kurtis
